This series of photo etching prints were produced during Mortreux's stay at the BBK Printing workshop and were developed for the exhibition “The behavior of faux sculpture” at the Institute für alles mögliche in Berlin.
They were a continuation of her process of re-photocopying her own drawings and her reference material into these flimsy cut-out figures. The series were assembled almost like a child would do with paper cut-out dolls as puppets in a make-believe stage play. The images were made to look stilted and visibly show the sticky tape that at times held these awkward black and white photocopied figures up.
